Peas are an easy-grow vegetable with big rewards. You can sow them from March, right through until August.
Peas prefer a cooler climate (under 30 degrees Celsius). Plant in full sun, preferably in a location protected from frosts. Plant between 4 and 7 cm apart.
Water well, but don’t drown out the roots. Fertilise occasionally with an organic fertiliser or compost. Don’t forget to stake them, or give them a trellis to climb.
Peas will be ready to pick at about the 2-3 month mark. Harvest every couple of days, when they are ready.
