Snail Creeper, also known as the Vigna Caracalla, is a vine with colourful, shell-like flowers.
It flowers from mid-Summer to mid-Autumn. It forms seed pods (look like beans) in late Autumn, before dying back during the Winter months (which allows the opportunity to prune.)
It prefers partial sun (at least), and doesn’t require any special soil or conditions to thrive.
You can grow it from seed, but it is best to buy an established seedling. Plant during the Winter months, when it is dormant. You will need a trellis for this one.
